Overview

The Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, established in [2014], is one of the largest and most dynamic departments in the institution. Initially starting with services to a few specialties and a 5-bedded Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the department has expanded significantly to provide perioperative support to multiple super-specialty and broad-specialty operation theatres, as well as critical care services across the hospital.

With cutting-edge technology and highly trained faculty, the department ensures optimal care in anaesthesia, perioperative management, pain relief, and intensive care. The department plays a critical role in patient safety and clinical excellence through innovation, education, and collaboration.

To provide high-quality, patient-centered anaesthesia and critical care services using advanced technology, skilled personnel, and evidence-based practices, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the perioperative journey.

Mission

  • Deliver anaesthesia and critical care aligned with national and international standards, including guidelines from the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure preventive, emergency, and restorative care in a therapeutic environment.
  • Educate, train, and empower staff, students, and the community in resuscitative and perioperative practices.
  • Continuously upgrade infrastructure, knowledge, and practice through research and innovation.

  • Anaesthesia support in radiology, cath lab, ECT, radiotherapy & pediatric units.
