Established in 2013, the Department of Pathology at Viswabharathi Medical College plays a pivotal role in linking clinical medicine with laboratory diagnostics, education, and research. The department delivers core diagnostic services, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and fosters impactful research guided by experienced faculty and modern infrastructure.

Diagnostic Laboratories

  • Histopathology: Grossing, tissue processing, staining, and reporting
  • Cytopathology: FNAC, Pap smears, and cancer screening
  • Hematology: CBC, bone marrow examination, and blood disorder diagnostics
  • Clinical Pathology: Urine, semen, Pap smear, and body fluid analysis
  • Immunohistochemistry: Tumor diagnosis using 44 validated markers
  • Blood Bank: Emergency support, donation drives, and CME-based awareness
