Overview

"Where Medicine Meets Justice."

The Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology is where the worlds of medical science and law converge. Established in 2014, the department equips undergraduate MBBS students with the skills and knowledge to apply medical expertise in the service of justice.

This discipline plays a pivotal role in medico-legal investigations and incorporates applied aspects of surgery, medicine, OBG, pathology, radiology, and medical jurisprudence. Students are also sensitized to medical ethics, professional responsibilities, and legal obligations through structured modules and case-based learning.

Our Vision

To produce doctors who are not only clinically competent but also legally literate, ethically grounded, and capable of contributing to the legal system through expert medical testimony and evidence-based practice.
