Department of Microbiology

🦠 "Infection Detection. Immune Protection. Innovation in Every Slide."

Established in 2014, the Department of Microbiology at Viswabharathi Medical College is a cornerstone of diagnostics, education, and research. It plays a crucial role in infectious disease detection, infection control, and public health surveillance. Our NABL-accredited diagnostic units and advanced laboratories support accurate diagnosis and timely clinical decisions.

The department integrates virology, bacteriology, serology, molecular biology, and environmental microbiology with academic training to prepare future healthcare professionals for global infectious disease challenges.

Vision

To be a national leader in academic excellence, diagnostic precision, and microbiological innovation, contributing to global health and disease prevention.
