Overview

Department of Anatomy — Building the Foundation of Medical Science Through Structural Insight

Established in 2014, the Department of Anatomy plays a pivotal role in the foundation of medical education. As the first pillar in the journey of every medical student, anatomy provides the essential understanding of the human body’s structure required to interpret clinical and surgical cases effectively.

Scope of Teaching

Anatomy is the first foundation of medical education. We teach every part of the human body regionally (Gross Anatomy) and by systems (General Anatomy) with clinical correlations essential for understanding diseases in clinical subjects like Medicine, Surgery, Ortho, ENT, and Ophthalmology.

In Histology, students learn microscopic structures of tissues vital for grasping Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pathology. In Embryology, we teach system development critical for understanding congenital anomalies.

For I MBBS students, detailed dissection of embalmed cadavers builds a solid foundation for future surgical practice.
